Quad-Link Fiber Optic System
High-Performance 4x L-Band + 10 MHz IFL Over Single Fiber
The Quad-Link system transmits four L-band forward channels and a standard 10 MHz return channel over a single optical fiber. Using a direct-modulated 1550 nm laser and CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing), it delivers a high-performance, fully analog Inter-Facility Link (IFL) over single-mode fiber—optimized for satellite and RF infrastructure applications.
Key Features
- High RF and Optical Performance
Engineered for superior signal integrity with excellent carrier-to-noise (C/N) ratio across extended distances.
- Fully Analog Design
No digital conversion, no software configuration—ready to use out of the box with no field setup required.
- Automatic or Fixed Gain Control
Integrated AGC (Automatic Gain Control) with an optional Fixed Gain mode, ideal for large antennas and beacon applications.
- 4x RF Channels via CWDM
Four L-band RF signals multiplexed over a single fiber using CWDM technology.
- Standard 10 MHz Return Channel
Provides an external reference path via the built-in 10 MHz diplexer.
- Up to 40 km Fiber Link Distance
Long-range capability depending on system link budget, while maintaining high signal fidelity.
- Interoperable Design
SMW Fiberoptics systems are compatible with many third-party indoor fiber link devices.
- Complimentary Link Budget Support
Free assistance for link budget planning available upon request.
Rugged Outdoor Design
- IP67 Fully Outdoor-Proof Enclosures
Designed for harsh environments—no separate outdoor enclosure needed.
- Compact and Durable
Both transmitter and receiver units are housed in rugged, lightweight aluminum enclosures for direct mounting on antenna or supporting structures.
- Wide Temperature Tolerance
Fully operational in extreme conditions: -40°C to +80°C.
- Q-ODC Fiber Connectors
Equipped with robust push-on, quick-connect Q-ODC connectors for reliable and easy fiber interfacing.
Versatility & Applications
- Bidirectional Flexibility
Four RF channels can be sent in any direction by simply swapping transmitter and receiver locations.
- Wide Frequency Range
Transmits any RF signal from 290–3000 MHz (optional 50–2750 MHz), covering Satcom, GPS, terrestrial TV, FM radio, and more.
- Built-In Features
Includes bias-tees and a diplexer for 10 MHz reference signal.
- Custom Configurations Available
Tailored solutions to meet specific installation or operational needs.
Typical Applications:
-
Single fiber connection to one Quattro LNB-equipped Satcom antenna.
-
Connection to four individual single- or multiband LNBs over one fiber.
-
Single fiber uplink to multiple or multiband BUCs.
