ETL Systems Alto ALT-G2R-L1-131 L-Band Redundant Variable Gain Amplifier 850–2150 MHz

The ETL Systems Alto ALT-G2R-L1-131 is an L-band redundant amplifier module operating from 850–2150 MHz. Designed for a compatible GENUS 2U chassis, it combines variable gain, positive slope compensation, low noise, and high linearity for RF signal conditioning in redundant amplifier systems.

In the specified 1+1 configuration with the SWF-G2R-SX-134-S5S5 switch, the system provides nominal gain adjustment from 10–40 dB in 0.25 dB steps. Slope control offers 0–6 dB adjustment with a pivot point at 2150 MHz, supporting compensation for frequency-dependent signal loss.

Three operating modes allow performance to suit the application. Power Mode adjusts input attenuation to prioritize linearity as gain is reduced. Noise Mode adjusts output attenuation to prioritize noise figure, with reduced linearity at lower gain. Compromise Mode applies attenuation equally at the input and output.

At maximum gain, the specified redundant configuration provides a noise figure of 9 dB typ., an output 1 dB compression point of +29 dBm typ., and an output third-order intercept point of +38 dBm typ. Each hot-swappable amplifier module occupies one chassis slot. Local and remote control are provided through the selected GENUS chassis.
