The ETL Systems Piranha PRN-G1S-BS2-003 is a BUC DC power inserter module for satellite communications systems. Operating from 850–2450 MHz, it combines the RF signal with selectable 24 V DC power at port 1 to supply a compatible block upconverter or similar equipment.

The DC output can be switched off or set to 24 V, with a maximum load current of 2.8 A. Overcurrent protection provides current-limited trip and restart. When installed in a compatible GENUS chassis fitted with the required 10 MHz reference card, the module also supports switchable 10 MHz injection onto port 1.

BUC current and RF input power monitoring support user-settable upper and lower alarm limits through the parent chassis. Local control is available through the chassis HMI, if fitted, with remote monitoring and control through the chassis Ethernet interface.

Each hot-swappable module occupies one slot. Connector configurations include 50Ω SMA, 50Ω BNC, 75Ω BNC, and 75Ω F-type.
