CPI Model 1230 Automatic Deicing System
The CPI Model 1230 Automatic Deicing System (ADS) prevents ice and snow buildup on medium- to large-aperture earth station antennas. Designed for CPI antennas from 4.8 to 16.4 meters, it provides automatic or manual heating of the main reflector, sub-reflector and feed window to protect critical RF performance during severe winter weather.
Antenna Size: 4.8 to 16.4 m standard configurations
Deiced Components: Main reflector, sub-reflector and feed window
Reflector Heating: Forced-air convection
Operating Modes: Automatic, Manual and Standby
Reflector Heat Control: Two stages
Feed/Sub-Reflector Heat Control: One stage
Ice Detection Range: 15°F to 44°F (-9°C to 7°C)
Monitor and Control: Local or remote dry-contact interface
Outdoor Enclosure: NEMA 4, IP66 equivalent
Outdoor Operating Temperature: -40°C to +50°C
Outdoor Power: Three-phase, five-wire WYE; 208 or 380–415 VAC
Indoor Control Power: 100–240 VAC, single-phase
Compliance: CE
