CPI 1241 Gas Automatic Deicing System | Reflector & Feed Ice Protection
The CPI Model 1241 is a next-generation gas-powered automatic deicing system designed for medium-to-large earth station antennas. Replacing the legacy 1230 model, the 1241 features reflector heating via forced-air gas convection and electric heating for the sub-reflector and feed window. Its Ethernet-based Power Control Unit (PCU) eliminates cross-site cabling and enables remote control through an intuitive web GUI or CPI antenna controller. Ideal for harsh winter environments, the system includes a self-contained ice detector, energy-efficient staged heating, and CE compliance.
Key Features:
Gas heating for main reflector; electric for sub-reflector & feed
Self-contained smart ice detector with adjustable triggers
CE-compliant with Ethernet remote monitoring & web GUI
Eliminates rack-mounted control gear; easier installation
Available for CPI 4.8m–16.4m antennas and custom systems
Optional fiber interface and multiple mounting options
Reliable performance from –40°C to +50°C
Applications:
Earth station antennas in icy climates
Upgrade path from 1230 ADS to modern gas-electric hybrid
Integration with CPI ACS or stand-alone web control
