CPI Model 1241 Gas Automatic Deicing System
The CPI Model 1241 Gas Automatic Deicing System (ADS) prevents ice and snow buildup on medium- to large-aperture earth station antennas. Designed for CPI antennas from 4.8 to 16.4 meters, it uses gas-fired forced-air heating for the main reflector and electric heating for the feed window and sub-reflector, reducing electrical demand and operating costs.
Antenna Size: 4.8 to 16.4 m standard configurations
Deiced Components: Main reflector, sub-reflector and feed window
Reflector Heating: Gas-fired forced-air convection
Feed/Sub-Reflector Heating: Electric conductive or forced-air heating
Operating Modes: Automatic, Manual and Standby
Reflector Heat Control: Two stages
Feed/Sub-Reflector Heat Control: One stage
Ice Detection Range: 15°F to 44°F (-9°C to 7°C)
Monitor and Control: Web GUI, command-line interface and CPI antenna control systems
Communications: Ethernet standard; fiber optic optional
Gas Fuel: Natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)
Outdoor Enclosure: NEMA 4, IP66 equivalent
Operating Temperature: -40°C to +50°C
Power: Three-phase, five-wire WYE; 208 or 380-415 VAC
Compliance: CE
