DTV Innovations Chimera-CP Portable MPEG-2/H.264 Video Encoder

The DTV Innovations Chimera-CP is a powerful, portable MPEG-2 and H.264/AVC video encoder featuring an integrated 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen. Designed for ATSC disaster recovery, outside broadcasting, live IP streaming and DSNG applications, it supports SD and HD video up to 1080p30 without requiring a laptop for operation.

Chimera-CP accepts HD-SDI, HDMI and DVB-ASI inputs and provides ASI and MPEG transport stream over IP outputs with SMPTE 2022 FEC. It also supports RTMP and DASH/HTML5 streaming, static PSIP, AAC audio, EAS integration and built-in stream recording and playback.

An optional DVB-S, DVB-S2 and DVB-S2X satellite modulator adds L-Band and IF-Band RF outputs, DVB-CID compliance and BISS encryption. Its compact, lightweight design makes Chimera-CP ideal for transportable fly-away systems, mobile broadcasting, temporary encoding paths and emergency ATSC transmission.
