ETL Systems StingRay 321/322 GENUS 2U CWDM RF over Fiber System, 500–3150 MHz

The ETL Systems StingRay CWDM system transports multiple RF signals over a single optical fiber for satellite communications and RF signal distribution. The system combines SRY-G2S-TxxS6-321 wavelength-specific transmitters, SRY-G2S-RS6-322 receivers, and SRY-G2S-OCM-08-YY-203 optical multiplexer modules.

At the transmit end, an eight-channel CWDM multiplexer combines separate optical wavelengths onto one fiber. At the receive end, a matching demultiplexer separates the wavelengths for the receiver modules. Links up to 50 km are supported, subject to the 12 dB optical budget and total installed link losses. Configurations with up to 16 wavelengths require factory confirmation.

Each transmitter or receiver occupies one GENUS 2U chassis slot and includes an SMA RF monitor port. Manual, automatic, and fixed gain modes support flexible signal management, with 60 dB manual adjustment in 0.5 dB steps. Transmitters feature DFB lasers with optical isolation and selectable 13/18 V LNB power. Compatible chassis provide local touchscreen and remote monitoring and control through SNMPv3 and HTTPS.

Key Features

• Transports eight RF channels over one single-mode fiber using CWDM.

• Extended RF coverage for L-band and S-band applications.

• Dedicated RF monitor ports for signal testing.

• Passive optical multiplexer requires no electrical power.

• Optional chassis-based 10 MHz reference distribution, with output level adjustable from −10 to +10 dBm.

• Hot-swappable TX/RX modules with MTBF greater than 200,000 hours.

• TX/RX module dimensions: 39 × 87 × 238 mm; weight: 0.2 kg each.

Transmitters, receivers, optical mux/demux components, compatible GENUS chassis, and optional reference distribution are ordered separately unless included in the quoted configuration. Specify channel count, transmitter wavelengths, RF connectors, and optical connectors when requesting a quotation. Maximum distance depends on fiber attenuation, mux/demux losses, connector losses, and the available optical budget.
