The Peak Communications PBU(Ka) Series is a family of single-range remote mounted Ka-Band Block Up Converters (BUCs) designed for professional satellite earth stations, HTS gateways, teleports, broadcast uplink facilities, VSAT hubs, and government SATCOM applications. Compatible with L-Band satellite modems and Peak P7000 Series frequency converters, the PBU(Ka) Series converts 950–1950 MHz L-Band signals into Ka-Band uplink frequencies from 19.7 GHz to 31.0 GHz, providing reliable outdoor frequency conversion for modern high-capacity satellite networks.

Designed for demanding outdoor environments, the PBU(Ka) Series utilizes externally phase-locked dielectric resonator oscillators (XPDROs) for exceptional frequency stability, low phase noise, and superior RF performance. Standard features include automatic 10 MHz external reference locking, integrated 1+1 and 2+1 CANBUS® redundancy control, Ethernet with embedded web server, SNMP network management, rugged IP66 weatherproof construction, and optional electronic attenuation, making the series ideal for fixed, transportable, and gateway satellite communication systems.
