Peak PBD(B) Series Multi-Range Remote Mounted Block Down Converters

The Peak Communications PBD(B) Series is a family of multi-range remote mounted Block Down Converters (BDCs) designed for professional satellite earth stations, teleports, broadcast receive systems, gateway facilities, telemetry, and government SATCOM applications. The PBD(B) Series converts S-Band, C-Band, and Ku-Band RF signals into L-Band outputs, with electronically selectable internal frequency ranges that provide flexible operation from a single outdoor unit.

Built for demanding outdoor installations, the PBD(B) Series utilizes externally phase-locked dielectric resonator oscillators (XPDROs) to deliver exceptional frequency stability, low phase noise, and excellent RF performance. Standard features include Ethernet with embedded web server, SNMP network management, RS-232/RS-485 remote control, automatic 10 MHz external reference locking, and integrated 1+1 / 2+1 CANBUS® redundancy control, making the series ideal for fixed, transportable, and gateway satellite communication systems.
