The Datum Systems PSM-500L is a versatile L-band satellite modem designed for bandwidth-efficient SCPC communications. It supports continuous transmit and receive operation for point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, mesh, multicast and unidirectional satellite networks.

The PSM-500L provides transmit coverage from 950–1750 MHz, receive coverage from 950–1900 MHz and data rates from 1.2 kbps to 29.52 Mbps. Advanced FlexLDPC coding, optional TPC, Viterbi, TCM and Reed-Solomon FEC provide excellent bandwidth efficiency, low latency and compatibility with many existing satellite networks.

Integrated LNB power, flexible external BUC power options and a high-stability 10 MHz reference simplify terminal installation. Ethernet, advanced IP, serial, HSSI and dual G.703/E1 interfaces support cellular backhaul, enterprise, E1 trunking and mobile SATCOM applications.
