Datum M7L & M7LT High-Speed DVB-S2X L-Band Satellite Modems 

The Datum Systems M7L and M7LT are high-speed DVB-S2 and DVB-S2X satellite modems designed for bandwidth-efficient IP trunking, cellular backhaul, enterprise and Dynamic SCPC networks. The modems deliver data rates up to 350 Mbps and symbol rates up to 72 Msps, enabling efficient use of wide satellite transponders.

Operating across the 950–2150 MHz L-band frequency range, with an optional 50–180 MHz IF configuration, the M7L and M7LT support QPSK through 64APSK modulation. Optional 128APSK and 256APSK provide additional flexibility for high-throughput satellite applications.

Adaptive Coding and Modulation dynamically selects the optimal MODCOD according to current link conditions, improving throughput and link availability. Carrier roll-off factors as low as 5% increase spectral efficiency, while optional Smart Carrier Cancelling allows two similar carriers to share the same transponder spectrum for approximately 50% bandwidth savings.
