The DTV Innovations Vyper 7 is a professional DVB satellite modulator supporting DVB-S, DVB-DSNG and DVB-S2 as standard, with DVB-S2X broadcast and DSNG profiles available through an optional software license. Designed for satellite news, sports and multiplexed video contribution, it supports applications ranging from low-data-rate transmissions to full-transponder operation.

The Vyper 7 accepts two DVB-ASI inputs and up to four MPEG transport streams over IP. It supports ASI data rates from 100 kbps to 200 Mbps, TSoIP data rates from 200 kbps to 200 Mbps, and symbol rates from 0.05 to 72 Mbaud. Multistream operation, flexible roll-off factors from 5% to 35%, DVB Carrier ID and optional BISS encryption provide extensive configuration flexibility.

L-band and IF-band outputs are included as standard. The L-band output features switchable 10 MHz reference insertion for driving an external BUC. An integrated web interface, SNMP, RS232 control, front-panel controls, alarm relays and dry-contact management enable convenient local and remote operation. Software licensing allows field upgrades as requirements evolve.
