DEV 1992 Modulator Redundancy Switch, 4+1 to 8+1
The DEV 1992 Modulator Redundancy Switch provides vendor-independent N+1 redundancy for professional satellite and broadcast modulation systems. It switches both ASI inputs and modulated RF outputs, allowing a standby modulator to replace a failed main unit while maintaining the required signal path.
The standard chassis supports 4+1 redundancy and can be field-upgraded in two-channel increments to a maximum configuration of 8+1. L-band output versions are available with 50 Ohm SMA or 75 Ohm F female connectors. A 47-862 MHz CATV-band output is also available for the 75 Ohm model.
TRAC enables switching actions based on SNMP traps received from connected equipment without requiring separate monitoring and control software. The DEV Web Interface, SNMP, redundant power supplies and configuration backup support reliable operation in mission-critical systems.
