DTV Innovations TSACO-1200 Automatic Failover Switch
The DTV Innovations TSACO-1200 is a professional transport-stream automatic failover switch designed to protect terrestrial, cable and satellite broadcast systems from unexpected off-air events. It automatically switches between primary and backup ASI or SMPTE-310M transport streams when a configurable input failure is detected.
The base model provides relay-based switching with a single output and relay bypass on the primary input. An optional software upgrade enables dual active outputs and seamless switching, maintaining synchronization so connected receivers do not lose lock during a source change. A further upgrade provides independent ASI-to-SMPTE-310M or SMPTE-310M-to-ASI output conversion.
An integrated web-server interface allows operators to configure switching thresholds, select inputs and monitor system status remotely. SNMP monitoring, rear-panel GPIO, configurable automatic switchback, dual power supplies and field-upgradable architecture make the TSACO-1200 a reliable broadcast backup solution for encoders, multiplexers, decoders and other MPEG transport-stream equipment.
