The DTV Innovations TSACO-2000 combines a professional transport-stream automatic failover switch and ASI/SMPTE-310M format converter in one compact 1 RU unit. Designed for terrestrial, cable and satellite broadcast systems, it is compliant with ATSC and DVB standards and supports ATSC Mobile DTV applications.

The TSACO-2000 automatically monitors primary and backup transport streams and switches to the backup source when a user-defined failure condition is detected. Its seamless switching maintains synchronization during the transition, helping prevent connected receivers from losing lock. Both inputs accept ASI or SMPTE-310M, while automatic format and packet-size detection simplifies operation.

ASI and SMPTE-310M outputs remain active simultaneously, allowing the TSACO-2000 to perform transport-stream format conversion as well as failover protection. An integrated web-server interface provides threshold configuration, input selection and status monitoring, while SNMP, rear-panel GPIO, relay bypass, dual power supplies and field-upgradable architecture support dependable broadcast operation.
