AvL Model 1515 1.55m High-Wind Manual Fly-Away Satellite Antenna
The AvL Model 1515 is a rugged 1.55 m high-wind manual fly-away satellite antenna engineered for military, government, broadcast, emergency response, and enterprise SATCOM applications operating in the world's most demanding environments. Designed for MIL-STD-810 certification and MIL-STD-188-164 compliance, the Model 1515 delivers exceptional RF performance while maintaining reliable operation under extreme wind conditions.
Featuring a lightweight four-piece carbon fiber reflector, heavy-duty elevation jack screw positioning system, and rugged transport configuration, the Model 1515 can be assembled in approximately 15 minutes by a single operator. Its compact design packs into four transport cases that fit within a ¼ Internal Airlift / Helicopter Slingable Container Unit (ISU), making it ideal for tactical military deployments and expeditionary communications.
Supporting Ku-band, Military Ka-band, Commercial Ka-band, X-band, C-band, and S-band feed configurations, the Model 1515 provides unmatched flexibility for commercial and defense satellite networks. An optional rugged Terminal Interface Unit (TIU) simplifies antenna pointing while providing a graphical user interface, integrated receiver, and MIL-STD-188-164 high-stability frequency reference for mission-critical operations.

Why Choose the AvL Model 1515?
The AvL Model 1515 is purpose-built for mission-critical SATCOM deployments where environmental durability is as important as RF performance. Its high-wind design, MIL-STD certification, and support for six frequency bands make it one of the most versatile manual fly-away antennas available. Whether deployed for military operations, emergency communications, or broadcast uplinks, the Model 1515 provides reliable satellite connectivity in environments where conventional transportable antennas cannot perform.
