DEV 7152 Intelligent Outdoor RF over Fiber Chassis, 5 Slots
The DEV 7152 Intelligent Outdoor RF over Fiber Chassis is a ruggedized enclosure that accommodates up to five DEV Optribution optical transmitter or receiver modules. Designed for installation near satellite antennas and LNBs, it enables direct RF-to-optical conversion at the antenna site to minimize coaxial cable loss and preserve signal quality.
The chassis supports standalone links, 1+1 redundancy and 4+1 redundancy using single-link or twin modules. Available RF interfaces include 50 Ohm SMA, 50 Ohm N and 75 Ohm F female connectors. An optional pole-mount assembly supports antenna-mast installations, while the enclosure can also be wall-mounted.
An integrated controller provides signal monitoring, recording and configuration backup through Ethernet, the DEV Web Interface and SNMP. Redundant power supplies and Redundancy Path Gain Compensation provide high availability under demanding outdoor operating conditions.

1+1 Redundancy
The 1+1 redundancy options provide a dedicated backup optical link for each protected transmitter or receiver path.
• Frequency Range: DC and 950-2150 MHz
• RF Interfaces: 50 Ohm SMA, 50 Ohm N or 75 Ohm F female
• Maximum Single-Link Redundancies: Two
• Maximum Twin-Module Redundancies: Four
• Return Loss: Greater than 14 dB
• Link-Gain Reduction: Approximately 5 dB
Available configurations include:
• Transmitter redundancy
• Receiver redundancy
• Combined transmitter and receiver redundancy
• Automatic switching based on RF sensing
• Automatic switchback for receiver redundancy
• Dynamic main/backup assignment
• Mixed redundant and standalone optical modules
4+1 Redundancy
The 4+1 redundancy option uses one backup optical link to protect four main links.
• Number of Main Channels: Four
• Frequency Range: DC and 950-2150 MHz
• RF Interfaces: 50 Ohm SMA, 50 Ohm N or 75 Ohm F female
• Return Loss: Greater than 14 dB
• Link-Gain Reduction: Approximately 2 dB for main links
• Chassis Capacity: One 4+1 redundancy system
Redundancy Path Gain Compensation aligns the backup-path signal level with the affected main link when switching occurs.
Optical Ethernet Options
