The DEV 716x Series standalone EDFA Optribution Amplifier Series extends DWDM RF over fiber transmission over very long optical paths. Its high gain and low noise figure help compensate for fiber and passive-component losses while maintaining optical signal quality.

The DEV 7161/Pre is designed for low-level optical signals and provides up to 25 dB gain with adjustable output from 0 to +10 dBm. The DEV 7161/Boost provides up to 23 dB gain and adjustable output as high as +20 dBm for increasing optical launch power.

Both 1 RU systems provide automatic output power control, optical input and output monitoring, front-panel status LEDs, redundant power supplies, SNMP and the DEV Web Interface.
