The Comtech SLM-5650C2 Software Defined Modem provides an advanced communications package for on-the-move and at-the-halt operations. The SLM-5650C has a proven track record for supporting the tactical communications of some of the most elite operational units in the world.

The modem’s architecture allows for the ability to switch between the STANAG 4486 Enhanced Bandwidth Efficient Modem (EBEM) waveform and the advanced Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) waveform with minimal downtime (< 30 seconds). 

This flexibility allows for the near-continuous exchange of critical command and control data in contested and denied RF environments. Featuring best-in-class Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) design and an extensive list of software options, the SLM-5650C2 can be integrated with a variety of platforms and provides a path to network convergence. The optional Stored Configuration Controller, SCC-1 provides for three stored mission designed communication scenarios that the warfighter can select with the press of a button. The SCC-1 reduces the complexity of communication setup in the field and saves time in critical mission situations.
